Amen Healthcare and Empowerment Foundation invites the press to a roundtable on neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), mass drug administration, and WHO 2030 NTD roadmap

LAGOS, Nigeria, 26, January, 2020,-/African Media Agency (AMA)/-  On behalf of Amen Healthcare and Empowerment Foundation, we would like to invite the media to a roundtable on AMEN’s projects in Nigeria focused on ending neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) through mass drugs administration, community engagement, and multi-sectoral involvement. 

This media roundtable will hold on Thursday, 28th January 2020 at 2pm (GMT+1)and also look at the World Health Organisation’s 2030 NTD roadmap and what it means for Nigeria in terms of alleviating the burden of NTDs by the WHO’s 2030 timeline. 

Amen Healthcare and Empowerment Foundation is an organization, partnering with the Federal Ministry of Health in Nigeria, Gombe State, and Osun State Government to intervene in several health programmes including prevention of Cancer, Blindness and Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs).

Leading PR Professionals, Business Leaders Headline Maiden Edition of Experiencing Public Relations

LAGOS, Nigeria, February 26, 2021 -/African Media Agency(AMA)/- Nigerian Women in Public Relations has announced the date for the maiden edition of its Experiencing Public Relations annual conference. The founder of the independent social impact organisation, Tolulope Olorundero, disclosed this during the pre-event media briefing which held this past Monday:

 “We have now completed plans to host the maiden edition of our annual conference tagged Experiencing Public Relations which will hold on March 6, 2021 by 11am WAT. Given the sometimes-intangible nature of the profession, we believe that one of the most important ways for the public and business leaders to understand and appreciate public relations is to deliver an immersive experience. So, from our speaker selection process to the entire program design and public engagement – we want people to experience what PR is and how its principles can be used to create a perception shift.”

The event will feature notable Nigerian female public relations professionals including Omotola Oyebanjo, Head Corporate Affairs and Communications, Africa & Middle East 

– Upfield, Efeturi Doghudje – Head Marketing and Corporate Communications – VFD Group Plc, Martha Okpeke, Associate Director, Mediacraft Associates and Chineze Amanfo, Lead Public Relations – 9Mobile. Other members of the panel who will be speaking on their first-hand experience of the impact of public relations on their businesses are Laide Agboola, Co-founder and CEO – Purple Group, and Adetayo Bamiduro, Co-founder and CEO – MAX.ng. 

The event is designed to give participants a memorable experience which the organisers say participants will be able to replicate in their organisations and for clients. The highlight of the Experiencing Public Relations conference will be the launch of the Experiencing Public Relations book. The Experiencing PR book is a collection of essays from 12 Nigerianfemale public relations professionals practicing across the world. They share their experience from discovery of the profession, working through the ranks to leading global public relations teams. 

“We call it the ‘mentorship at the flip of a page’ book. These 12 women share practical steps, ideas and processes that any public relations professional can emulate to achieve success in the profession. There are stories from entry level professionals with one-year experience in public relations to very senior women with over two decades’ experience. It is our attempt to demystify PR and educate the public on its importance, birth a new generation and provide mentorship to women who may be experiencing challenges on the job” says Tolulope Olorundero, founder of Nigerian Women in Public Relations.

Nigerian Women in PR, established in 2019, is an independent social impact organisation created to build a robust network of practising and aspiring female public relations professionals of Nigerian descent. Their aim is to support, inspire and empower these professionals while improving access to career advancing opportunities. With its robust programs including #PRin30Seconds, Campus Students’ Summit and #ThrivethruPR, the organisation is determined to support female professionals get and retain a seat at the table where far-reaching decisions are made.

CIH Bank solide et résiliente en 2020

Le groupe CIH Bank défie la crise et affiche en 2020 une croissance à deux chiffres pour les dépôts (+20,5%), les crédits (+18,6%) et le PNB (+10,3%) consolidés. Mais comme prévu pour tout le secteur bancaire, le coût du risque a pesé sur les comptes. La banque subit une chute de 81% de son résultat net part du groupe (RNPG), en raison notamment de l’imputation intégrale des 150 millions de DH du don au Fonds Covid-19.
